Children's Grand Park's cherry blossom.

Day two of my cherry blossom adventure has led me to Children's Grand Park in Seoul. When they say grand they mean it. This park was incredible and huge. It was hard to believe this was in the middle of the city. The picture below is the crab shack right outside the entrance.

In the middle of the park is a carnival. I didn't see it at first, but I heard the roller coaster and children. When I approached the entrance the first thing I saw was this swing ride. The look of it is beautiful and antiquish, but the music coming from it was Stan by Eminem.

Remember those rides outside your local grocery store that would cost a quarter and they would move back and forth. Well, these are the modern versions. Except when you put in a dollar they walk around.

Glowing palm trees are everywhere in Korea. I do not know why.

The blossoms look like fresh snow.

Kyunghee University's cherry blossom road.

So, it's the first week of April, cherry blossom season in Seoul. It lasts about one week. There are certain areas in Seoul where you can go to see an abundance of blossoms. Everyday this week, I have planned to venture to a new area. First, was Hoegi. Kyunghee University campus is there. It took about an hour by subway to get there from where I live. The campus itself is already beautiful with winding roads, hills and old style buildings. All the blossoms just enhance it even more. There were so many students just laying around campus enjoying the spring weather and flowers.
