When I first got to Japan I was a little overwhelmed. I was starving and after circling Roppongi, I entered a noodle bar. I sat in the corner and pointed to something on the menu and started looking through guide books to learn how to say thank you and to see if I should tip. I got a delicious bowl of ramien with the cracklings of the pig skin in the bowl. Everyday, it got a little easier to order food and the last two nights I had my Japanese friend take me out to dinner and order for me. As for the street food, it is similar to Korea's, but better and more of a variety.
A sushi truck I would trust to eat from.
Japanese octopus balls. These had bigger pieces of octopus in them compared to the Korean style.
Grilled rice stick with soy sauce.
I have no idea. I think it had fish in it.
The ice-cream cone looked like a lotus flower.
My favorite thing ever. Green tea, bean, fried thing.
Red bean popsicle. Every time I look at this picture quickly, I think it looks like a finger that got chopped off.
