Shibuya.

So this is the largest pedestrian crossing in the world. I don't think the pictures and video does it any justice. I was also there on a holiday, so it wasn't at its busiest. I was there twice on two different nights and both times it was more crowded. It is about four or five streets intersecting and everyone crosses at the same time in one huge mass.

You can see as I was approaching the crossing (under the overpass).
Brief History
Shibuya is named after  the Akita that traveled to the subway station everyday to wait for his owner. He continued to do this even when his owner didn't return from work (he died). People started recognizing the dog waiting for hours and began feeding it, after they became aware of the story behind it. So they named the area after the loyal dog.

The have women only cars for the subway because it gets the crowded... a lot of rubbing and touching.
My replacement. Many restaurants have this self ordering machine and you just hand your ticket to the person behind the bar. They aren't in English and my Japanese friend took me to these places.
This is a classic Japanese soda. The ball in there does something and my friend explained it to me I just don't remember.

My ramien. There are many different style of noodles and soups that originated in all parts of Japan. This style in particular you are served the noodles on the side of the soup and you add it yourself. The noodles can be served either hot or cold.
Hair ties are conveniently located so you can put your hair back and slurp.
Shibuya has a whole sex district with love hotels, pron stores and head shops. These penis illustrations were for a love hotel. The walls were actually decorated with the cartoon penises (you can see in the picture).
Lots of lights.
Arcade.

Japanese flag.

Sign for a place where you can watch porn DVDs.
